The demands on retailers to hold significantly higher levels of stock at peak trading periods (Christmas, Easter, Summer Holidays) combined with the need to store seasonal merchandise displays can place huge stresses on operational teams.
Accio Consult & Construct has unrivalled experience in deploying temporary seasonal storage facilities for major retailers and temporary summer stores, as well as additional working space for The Royal Mail at Christmas.
Solutions can involve simple tented warehouse structures through to thermo efficient (and fully heated) sorting office facilities.
Accio Consult & Construct have also delivered the summer store program for Tesco for the last 6 years, helping to generate substantial additional revenue from holiday makers with a range of products and accessories merchandised in dedicated mini-stores, including beach-ware, surf apparel and children’s play equipment.
The stores are situated in the car park areas adjacent to the main store complex. Each unit is taken through to a fully shelved fit-out level, so that the merchandising teams can stock the stores and install the till systems.
In 2015, the stores were built in just 6 days, reflecting the co-ordinated approach and rigorous project management skills required to run to demanding schedules. The summer store program highlights the benefits of using fully demountable temporary structures to create dedicated retail space for themed products, allowing Tescos to provide holiday makers with everything they need in one location – from sandwiches to sandcastle makers.
Working to slightly less stressful timescales during the London Olympics 2012 we were delighted to support Tesco with a strategically placed 10m x 10m temporary ‘Food to Go’ store with coffee-shop, located in the car park of their Bromley store, near to where visitors to the Olympic Park were arriving by rail. Proving that temporary stores are not just for Christmas!
